Lakehouse chief executive Sean Birrane has quit just a month after the housing maintenance specialist issued a profit warning.
Mr Birrane, who has been with Lakehouse for 20 years and moved from his role as MD to CEO in October 2014, will also resign from the board, but will remain with the company for an interim period.
Current executive chairman Stuart Black will take over as CEO. Senior non-executive director Chris Geoghegan will fill Mr Black’s role as non-executive chairman.
Lakehouse CEO quits
Lakehouse said it would appoint another independent non-executive director to the board and has begun the search for a candidate.
Construction News understands there will be no further senior hires.
The board said it “remains on track to deliver its revised expectations for the current financial year”.
The group issued a profit warning in February, less than a year after the company went public.
The contractor said the government’s decision to cut social housing rent had hit its regeneration and energy services divisions.
