02Nov90 GIBRALTAR: TAYLOR WOODROW BEGINS £30M PHASE ONE REDEVELOPMENT OF OLD HARBOUR WITH DWELLINGS, COMMERCE AND MARINA.

Taylor Woodrow International will start work early next month on phase one of the Queensway Quay project in Gibraltar.The £30 million contract, due for completion midway through 1993, entails 120 apartments overlooking the quay, three leisure decks at first-floor level, two with swimming pools, extensive internal parking facilities and a series of shops at ground level will give more than 2,000 sq m of floor space.Phase one is part of a £90 million plan to develop the old harbour area of Gibraltar as a residential, commercial and marina centre, with the entire project due for completion in five years time.
