P Elliott/FCC jv scoops Olympics deal

A joint venture of Spanish firm FCC and Irish contractor P Elliott has scooped a contract to design, fit out, maintain and dismantle internal facilities at the International Broadcast Centre for the London Olympics.

FCC Elliott UK was awarded the deal for internal architectural, electrical and mechanical facilities at the 55,000 sq m IBC by Olympic Broadcasting Services.

Grupo FCC chairman and chief executive Baldomero Falcones said:  “This prestigious contract win sits alongside prominent FCC infrastructure projects around the world including the Singapore Metro, the expansion of the Panama Canal and the world’s longest railway tunnel, the St. Gotthard pass, linking Switzerland with Italy.”

Carillion is the main contractor on the IBC.
