Birse Construction has just installed the main span and A-frame mast for the new Teesquay Millennium Bridge over the River Tees at Stockton, Cleveland. The contractor is building the £1.4 million structure for Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council.

The Arup-designed bridge is due to open in December 2001.
