JF Finnegan wins £10.5m Costco scheme

Sheffield-based contractor JF Finnegan has won a £10.5 million deal to build a new wholesale warehouse for Costco UK.

The contractor and developer has started work on the 140,000 sq ft facility in Farnborough, Hampshire which will open at the end of June.

JF Finnegan’s initial works will include remediation of the site followed by extensive earth moving operations to create the required site levels prior to build. The wholesale warehouse will be fitted out internally and stocked during the contract period to allow a quick turnaround with the doors set to open to the public the day after practical completion.

The contract will be the fourth scheme that JF Finnegan has completed for Costco UK and follows on closely from their November 2012 completion of the Leicester wholesale warehouse.

JF Finnegan managing director Gary Smith, said; “We are delighted to have been awarded another contract by Costco UK and to strengthen our long-term working relationship with Costco and the delivery team.”
