Scott Wilson wins £9.6m Crossrail design contract

Crossrail will award the £9.6 million two and a half year design package, C136, for Farringdon Station to consultancy firm Scott Wilson Group.

This contract, awarded through the Central Section framework, is the latest addition to Scott Wilson’s work on the £16 billon Crossrail project.

The group has also undertaken work on the Westbourne Park – worth up to £1.5 million and awarded in April - and the Crossrail On Network Works for Network Rail – worth £9.8 million and awarded in October 2008.

Scott Wilson chief executive Hugh Blackwood said: “We are delighted to have secured this first major package on the Central Section Framework and to continue our role on what will be Europe’s largest rail project.

“Our relationship with Crossrail dates back a number of years and we are looking forward to a strong and continued association.”
