Czech Plant maker Stavostroj is looking for dealers in the UK for its range of vibratory rollers. The firm has already sold machines to the Irish Republic and is planning further expansion in western Europe.Stavostroj's assault on the UK is at an early stage as the company has not yet appointed a UK importer or any local dealers.A British spokesman said: 'The company is just putting its toe in the water at the moment but it is difficult to get started because the company needs hard currency.'At its factory at Nove Mesto, Stavostroj produces a range of construction equipment, including road milling machines, backhoe loaders, and wheeled loaders. Twenty different rollers are produced and exported to over 40 countries worldwide. The first machine to be seen in Britain - a four tonne twin vibratory roller - is being touted around trade shows to generate interest. The hydrostatically-driven machine is equipped with a 33 PS engine and has a fully enclosed cab to reduce noise for the operator.Stavostroj will later be showing a pedestrian-operated machine for pathways which has a diesel engine made in Austria by Hatz.
