29Apr93 HONG KONG: HOUSING TOP OF GAMMON PRIZES IN HK.

Gammon, the British-backed firm jointly owned by Trafalgar House and Jardine Pacific, has taken contracts worth more than HK$936 million (£82 million) in Hong Kong.The biggest is a HK$338 million (£30 million) project for the second phase of the Hing Tung estate at Shau Kei Wan West for the Hong Kong Housing Authority.Gammon has also won a HK$183 million (£16 million) job for the third stage of the Lamma power station on Lamma Island, comprising a cooling water intake and associated works.Other jobs include site preparation for Chek Lap Kok airport and civil works for Hong Kong Telecom.
