Strathclyde Regional Council has commissioned Ove Arup to carry out environmental impact assessments for three road projects together worth £213 million.They are: the £170 million westward M74 extension from Fullarton Road to Glasgow city centre (likely to be split into at least three contracts); £28 million Townhead/London Road link (starts 1996/97); and £15 million twin bridges across the river Clyde at Kingston Bridge (starts 1996/97).
