Emcol International now makes a material to repair friction courses of aircraft runways.Emcol FCR 10 mm is formulated to match the characteristics of runway friction courses and can withstand heavy traffic immediately.The company claims that FCR 10 mm abuts well to metal, is not subject to liquid and aggregate separation and can be used in temperatures from minus 45 C to plus 60 deg C.All three grades are tipped straight from the pack into asphalt, macadam and concrete areas for repair and require no heating, mixing, tack coats or over banding.
