Will 'Walkie Talkie' leave developers with egg on their faces?

Reports that light reflected from the facade of London’s “Walkie Talkie” building has the power to melt cars – and fry eggs – have been making the headlines and sending rays of mirth around Twitter. Here’s Constructionist’s round-up of the latest action.

The 38-storey development on Fenchurch Street, which earned its nickname thanks to its unusual shape, has attracted television crews from major news channels and has been dubbed the “Walkie Scorchie” on Twitter after claims from a motorist that parts of his Jaguar melted while parked near the skyscraper.
