Arrest after man threatened with gun on Cumbria building site

Police have charged a man with firearms offences after reports that another man was threatened with gun on a building site in Workington, Cumbria.

Police charged Nicky James Horsfall, 30, from Far Moss, Workington, with possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence and also a public order offence.

The charges follow reports that a man had been threatened with a gun at about 3.15am on Saturday on the building site near Northside Road in Workington. He was not injured.

Cumbria Police said they found a replica firearm. The police said they are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.

They had previously arrested a 35-year-old man but he was released with no further action.
