Asda submits upgrade plans for Dunfermline Halbeath store

Plans to improve Asda’s Dunfermline Halbeath store at the HalbeathRoad Retail Park have been submitted to Fife Council.

The budget supermarket chain plans to extend the store with an additional 1,162 sq m of floor space to make room for wider aisles and more checkouts.

Asda property communications manager for Scotland Lisa Rooke said: “Since we opened our Dunfermline Halbeath store it has become an important and established supermarket for people in the area.  However, shopping needs have changed significantly during this time and the store is in need of updating and improving.

“Our customers expect that we deliver not only the best price but also choice, quality, friendly service and convenience. We want to update our Dunfermline store so that it continues to meet these needs.”

Plans will be available to view in the store between Thursday 23 April and Saturday 25 April.
