29-year-old killed by excavator in Wales

A 29-year-old man has been killed in an excavator incident in Llanrug, near Caernarfon in Wales.

The man was named as Eilir Hedd Morgan, from the Ffestiniog area.

CN understands the incident occurred while small-scale work was being undertaken on a farm.

It is unclear at this time whether the man was a construction worker or was carrying out the work independently.

Police were called just after 4pm on Monday.

A North Wales Police spokesman said: “A post mortem has been conducted and the circumstances of Mr Morgan’s death are still being investigated by NWP jointly with the HSE.

“The family ask that their privacy be respected at this time.”
