Engineer killed at Corus steelworks

A 26-year-old man has been killed at the Corus steelworks in Scunthorpe.

The worker, understood to be an engineer, has not been named, and details of how he died have also not yet been released.

Corus said it had begun a joint investigation with the  Health and Safety Executive into the incident, which occurred at the site on Friday.

Director Sean Lyons said: “This is a tragic, tragic loss of life and we are doing everything we can to find out how this happened.”
