Fourteen dead after partially-constructed building collapses

At least 14 workers have been killed and 40 injured after a building under construction in Burundi, eastern Africa, collapsed.

The South African Independent Online today reported that 54 people had so far been pulled from the rubble at the site in Bujumbura, the nation’s capital.

Construction was underway at the site to build offices for the Burundian presidential party.

Local reports said there were about 150 workers at the site at the time of the incident.
