A man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after falling while working at the new Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre (pictured).
Construction News understands that the man was working in a hotel room at the new Hilton being built as part of the AECC when he fell and hit his head on Tuesday afternoon.
He was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary where he was put into an induced coma.
The man was employed by an unnamed painting and decorating subcontractor working for Robertson Group, which is the main contractor on the £330m complex that is due to open in 2019.
A Robertson spokesman said: “We can confirm that one of our subcontractors working on the AECC was taken to hospital on Tuesday afternoon.
“We are conducting an investigation into the circumstances and will report in full to the HSE.”
