Ainscough extends fleet with 20 new Liebherr cranes

Ainscough Crane Hire has ordered twenty new Liebherr LTM 1150-6.1 mobile cranes to enhance their existing fleet – already the largest in the UK.

The firm, which has the largest crane fleet in the UK said the order represents a significant investment in new products.

Neil Partridge, managing director, Ainscough Crane Hire said: “While demand for lower capacity mobile cranes is particularly depressed, the requirement for larger mobile and heavy crawler cranes is buoyant and we are shifting our fleet emphasis accordingly.”

In developing the LTM1150-6.1 Liebherr have extended their concept of the “all-in-one-crane” up to the six axle mobile cranes. The crane can carry part of the ballast while driving on public roads has the capacity to lift 150 tonnes and its main boom can reach up to 66 metres.

Ainscough Crane Hire has already taken delivery three of the mobile cranes, with an additional 17 to follow during the course of 2009 – 2010
