Baghdad to spend $170m on rebuilding streets

The Baghdad Secretariat has allocated ID200bn ($173m) from the authority’s operational budget to renovate the city’s streets.

The local government has an operational budget of ID700bn for 2009 and is allocating a large proportion of this to repairing the capital’s battered streets.
