BAM Construct

BAM businesses are ISO 14001 accredited and all projects produce an environmental management plan.

Its target is to produce less than 160m³ of construction waste, excluding demolition and excavation, per £1m turnover. Waste production has decreased by nearly 20 per cent since 2006 and the company aims to divert 75 per cent of all waste away from landfill this year. It plans to achieve ‘near zero’ waste to landfill by 2015.

The company is an associate member of the Considerate Constructors Scheme and has developed the Ready, Steady, Work programme in London, which offers pre-employment training and construction industry placements to jobseekers.
