Blackpool seeks £50m regeneration partner

Blackpool Council is seeking a development partner for a £50 million housing led regeneration project over the next ten years.

The scheme – know as the Rigby Road development opportunity – will see 7.2 ha of public land on either side of Seasiders Way developed for what the council describes as “the most strategically important …housing led regeneration within inner Blackpool”.

The successful developer will work closely with the council and the Homes and Communities Agency to build around 400 homes.

Green infrastructure will provide a core element of the scheme.

PQQs should be submitted by 16 September and invitations to tender will be sent out on 30 September.
