Bourne Supremacy

Bourne Special Projects has completed the construction of a new stair access tower at Blackfriars station – part of Network Rail’s £5.5 billion Thameslink revamp.

The steel firm supplied and erected the structural steelwork, cladding and sheeting for platform 5’s temporary access staircase and footbridge over the River Thames. The new link bridge is now open to the public.

Main contractor Balfour Beatty is working with the rail operator on the £350 million job, which will see the construction of a new station spanning the river.
