Cardiff concrete specialist to close

Mike Amodeo (Contractors) set to shut next week after 26 years

Cardiff concrete floor specialist Mike Amodeo (Contractors) is set to close.

The firm, along with Mike Amodeo Group and Mike Amodeo Haulage, is expected to go into voluntary liquidation at a creditors’ meeting next week.

The meetings for creditors of the three companies will take place on 28 February at the Cardiff offices of corporate recovery firm Begbies Traynor.

At the meetings creditors will decide whether to appoint a liquidator.

The company was set up in 1986. Three years ago it sold its precast concrete business to Creagh Concrete Products. It worked on Cardiff City’s football stadium and the exhibition hall at Cheltenham racecourse.
