The University of Sussex is inviting bids for a £30 million contract to build 14 accommodation blocks at its Northfield site on the edge of its campus.
In addition to the accommodation blocks the contractor will also design and build a reception and social block and the associated infrastructure.
The accommodation blocks will contain a total of 777 units, comprising en-suite study rooms, studio flats, and wheelchair accessible study rooms.
Work is anticipated to start in January 2010 with completion scheduled for July 2011.
Firms have until 27 July to express an interest. Between five and eight contractors will be invited to tender on 24 August.
