Bowmer and Kirkland set for big Edinburgh scheme

Bowmer and Kirkland is expected to be involved in the construction of a major mixed use scheme in Edinburgh.

Peveril Securities, the development subsidiary of Bowmer and Kirkland, and Standard Life Investments Pooled Property Fund have jointly invested £75m to buy and develop 3-8 St Andrew Square in Edinburgh.

The 165,000 sq ft scheme includes offices, shops and catering space and apartments.

A spokesman for Standard Life Investments said Bowmer and Kirkland was likely to be involved in the construction of the scheme.

Work on the development is expected to begin immediately with completion in 2016.
