Balfour Beatty's Kevin Craven to join Serco

Balfour Beatty services division chief executive Kevin Craven will join Serco next month as CEO of its UK central government division.

Serco’s central government division had revenue of £1.6bn in 2013 and employs more than 23,000 people.

The appointment was made by Serco last month and Mr Craven will join the firm on 1 September following four years at Balfour Beatty.

He joined Haden Building Management in 2006 and rebranded the business to Balfour Beatty WorkPlace in 2008. The business was sold at the end of 2013 and Balfour Beatty’s Rail UK business joined the services division.

He had previously been managing director for healthcare, education and defence at Aramark, and the managing director of transport and travel for Sodexo.
