In pictures: Leeds Arena completes - full project images

Bam Construction has recently finished the spectacular £60 million Leeds Arena on Clay Pit Lane in central Leeds.

The arena took 96 weeks to build, and will seat up to 13,500 people.

Bruce Springsteen will be the first act to perform in the multi-purpose arena in July.

The regional director for Bam Construction James Wimpenny said: “It’s been a special assignment to deliver this arena for the people of Leeds and for the City Council and SMG to fit out for its grand opening.

“It’s a tribute to our hard working and expert people that they’ve delivered it on time and on budget despite it being such a unique and complex building. I’m very proud of how extensively they have involved local people and local businesses to bring additional prosperity to this city.

“We have been excited to see it develop daily around us and look forward to its big opening day.”

During the project, Bam Construction raised over £6,000 for their charity partner Macmillan Cancer Support.
