Galliford Try opens new office as part of growth plans

Galliford Try has set up a new regional headquarters as it bids to become one of the UK’s top six housebuilders.

The new Oxford office, under the firm’s Linden Homes brand, is part of the company’s plans to double the size of its housebuilding business.

Linden Homes Oxford will be led by Galliford Try Homes’ divisional managing director Greg Locke, who also runs five regional companies in the group.

The group began its plans to increase its housebuilding in 2009 with a target of over 3,000 sales a year in 2012. The plans are backed by £119.3 million of additional funds raised in its 2009 rights issue.

The firm is currently the UK’s seventh largest housebuilder but plans to move up to sixth.
