Interserve has hired United Utilities HR director Sally Cabrini as its new head of transformation.
Ms Cabrini joins Interserve’s executive board as the firm’s director of transformation, IT and people, and will start on 15 January.
She joins from United Utilities, where she spent more than a decade as the water company’s HR director.
The appointment comes as Interserve embarks on a major cost-cutting drive following heavy losses at the firm.
Last month it was revealed that Interserve was to axe a number of jobs following the news that it would likely breach its financial covenants this year.
The company also revealed that its problem energy-from-waste deals would cost the firm a further £35m, taking the total to £195m.
Before her time at United Utilities, Ms Cabrini held a number of roles at Nestle and Northern Foods, as well as spending time as a consultant supporting firms through transformation programmes.
Interserve chief executive Debbie White said: “Sally is an experienced senior leader who has a strong track record of getting the best out of people and technology.”
