Interserve win brings P22 NHS trust total to £479m

Interserve has been chosen to build a £13m child and adolescent mental health unit for West Yorkshire and Harrowgate Health and Care Partnership.

The unit is funded by NHS England and was procured through the P22 framework.

It will be built on the site of St Mary’s Hospital in Leeds.

Interserve has now won £479m-worth of schemes with trusts as part of P22.

Leeds Community Healthcare NHS Trust deputy chief executive Bryan Machin said: “Interserve has a track record of success delivering capital projects in this region and we are pleased to be working with them.”

Interserve has completed more than 300 healthcare projects for NHS clients including a non-secure unit at Fieldhead Hospital in Wakefield.

Construction News reported today that Gordon Kew, the MD of Interserve’s UK construction business will leave the firm next month.

Interserve’s international construction boss Paul Franks will head up a merged UK and international construction division.

The contractor won a place on both lots of NHS Wales’ £560m national and regional supply chain partner frameworks, which could run for the next six years.
