Keltbray hires new financial director

Keltbray has appointed a former managing partner at accountancy firm BDO as its new financial director.

The company has brought in Peter Burnside from BDO Northern Ireland, where he was managing partner.

Mr Burnside will replace John Keehan, who has served as Keltbray’s financial director since 2005.

The appointment will allow Mr Keehan to focus solely on his role at deputy chief executive officer, the company said.

Mr Burnside will be responsible for financial reporting across the group, as well as insurance, IT and the management of Keltbray’s property portfolio.

Last August Keltbray strengthened its finance team by recruiting former Santander banker Joseph Goldberg for the newly created role of group investment director.

Keltbray’s last accounts saw its pre-tax profit more than double, hitting £23.6m for the 12 months up to 31 October 2016, up from £10.4m for the previous 12 months.
