Mace appoints regional cost consultancy head

Mace has appointed Paul Donaghy to lead the contractor’s cost consultancy business for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).

Mr Donaghy has 20 years’ experience in the construction sector having overseen projects in Ireland, Mauritius and the Middle East.

He will form part of Mace’s 80-strong consultancy team covering MENA and will focus on expanding the business.

Prior to starting his new role at Mace, Mr Donaghy managed the contracts department at Meraas Developments, described as one of the largest developers in Dubai.

During his 20-year career, he has gained experience across a range of projects and sectors including retail, hospitality, leisure, residential, healthcare, infrastructure and land reclamation.

Mace regional director for MENA Mark Taylor said: “Paul brings a unique perspective to Mace having worked within Meraas and North25 – leading organisations – for more than six years.

“His understanding of a client’s needs and his experience of working on such a breadth of different projects will be invaluable. I am sure that our cost consultancy business in MENA will continue to thrive under his leadership.”
