Morgan Sindall poaches Balfour Beatty MD for new role

Morgan Sindall has appointed Balfour Beatty’s major projects construction managing director as its new MD for London and aviation.

Tony Dixon was previously managing director of construction in Balfour Beatty’s major projects business.

He will report into Morgan Sindall managing director construction and design Pat Boyle.

Mr Dixon said: “I’m relishing the challenge of driving the business forward. London is a dynamic construction market and one of the most challenging and exciting places to work.”

Construction News revealed last week that Richard Dobson would be leaving his role as a construction director at Shepherd Construction to join Morgan Sindall.

A Balfour Beatty spokeswoman said: “We have moved the responsibilities undertaken by Tony Dixon from our major projects to regional business stream.

“Following Tony’s departure we have reallocated his former responsibilities across the current regional leadership team. We continually review how we can further strengthen the team.”
