Atkins appoints British Airways head as new finance director

British Airways’ head of business performance Heath Drewett has been appointed to the role of group finance director for Atkins.

The engineering and design consultancy made the announcement this morning to the London Stock Exchange, revealing that he would take up the position from 19 June.

Mr Drewett, who started his career with PricewaterhouseCoopers as a charted accountant and spent the past seven years in BA’s finance team, will take over from current finance director Robert MacLeod.

Atkins chairman Ed Wallis described Mr Drewett as a “very experienced finance professional with significant experience across a number of finance disciplines in a world leading organisation”.

Mr Drewett will also take up the role as a director on the group’s board, with effect from 15 June.
