Berkeley chief pays Berkeley £1.32m for work on his own home

Berkeley chief Tony Pidgely has paid his own firm £1.32 million for “works carried out to his home”.

The housebuilder took advantage of Berkeley’s ‘own-build scheme’, where employees receive commercial rates for renovations of their own home.

The firm’s annual report also revealed that Mr Pidgley collected a remuneration package for the year to 30 April worth £2.4m, comprising of a salary of £750,000 with a bonus of £1.5m.
