Connaught appoints ex-Centrica chief as chairman

Connaught has appointed former Centrica chief executive Sir Roy Gardner as non executive chairman with immediate effect.

He takes over from Tim Ross, who has been acting as interim chairman at the support services giant.

Sir Roy Gardner is currently chairman of Compass Group as well as a non executive director of Mainstream Renewable Power, a director of Willis Group Holdings and a senior adviser at Credit Suisse.

His previous roles include non executive chairman of Manchester United and he was also chief executive of Centrica, formerly British Gas.

Connaught chief executive Mark Tincknell said: “Sir Roy has an outstanding record and I am confident that, with his wealth of experience, he will make a valuable contribution to Connaught over the coming years.”
