Construction recruiters merge

Construction recruiters Hill McGlynn and Beresford Blake Thomas Technical and Professional are to merge.

The new merged entity will be called Randstad Construction, Property & Engineering from 1 January 2011.

Mark Bull, currently managing director of Hill McGlynn, will head the new UK organisation.

Both organisations are owned by Randstad group.

Randstad executive board director Brian Wilkinson said: “We have two well respected and leading recruitment businesses operating in the same markets and increasingly they are duplicating energy and effort in talking to the same people.

“The merger will be a catalyst to bring together and combine strength, talent and expertise into one organisation and provide a strong platform for future growth and opportunity.”

Randstad Construction, Property and Engineering branding within the UK will be phased in gradually across the next 18 months.
