Eaga secures Warm Front extension

Carillion-target Eaga has secured an extension to its government contract to deliver the Warm Front scheme across England.

The deal with the Department of Energy and Climate Change will now run to 31 March 2013, with total funding allocated to that date of £210 million.

Eaga chief executive Drew Johnson said: “I am pleased we are continuing to deliver the Warm Front Scheme for DECC, which will provide an important strategic foundation for Eaga to leverage into the wider Green Deal and Energy Company Obligation programmes that are continuing to take shape.”

Shareholders at renewable energy firm Eaga this week voted overwhelmingly in favour of a £306m  takeover proposal by support services giant Carillion.
