ISG wins £100m in regional work

ISG’s regional construction business has won projects with a combined value of about £100m in the past two months.

These include a £22m deal with the Cleveland Fire Authority for four new fire stations and a new Hartlepool HQ for the authority.

ISG has also won a £19m town regeneration project in Rotherham, including a 110,000 sq ft Tesco Extra, as well as a £16.5m leisure and retail contract in Swindon, incorporating a six-screen cinema and a 50,000 sq ft Morrisons supermarket.

A £9m commercial office scheme for Amsprop will see the remodelling and fitting out of the octagonal No. 5 Cheapside building, near St Paul’s Cathedral in London.

A £16m contract in Portsmouth to redevelop the New Theatre Royal and £7m in work through a Northern construction hub have also been added to ISG’s portfolio.

ISG chief executive David Lawther said: “Within a challenging regional construction market, we continue to target and convert high quality opportunities across the UK.

“Our focus on securing additional public sector framework appointments and business from repeat customers is proving successful.”
