Jarvis FM contracts taken by drycleaners

Drycleaning and facilities management company Johnson Service Group has acquired three PFI contracts as well as two special purpose companies from collapsed contractor Jarvis for £3 million.

The three contracts - worth £4m in the year to March 2010 - employ 86 staff and all have more than 15 years on the contract term remaining.

Johnson will also manage a further 5 FM contracts – worth £6.5m in the year to March 2010 - together with the related SPCs, pending acquisition.  The five contracts employ 160 staff and each have over 15 years on the contract term remaining.

The FM contracts provide services including catering, cleaning and maintenance, for specific schools, primary care trusts and local authorities.
