John Tutte takes Redrow helm

John Tutte has been appointed as Redrow group managing director in a board reshuffle that sees director Colin Lewis depart after 18 years.

The board said the position of Mr Lewis, regional chairman for the west of the country, would become defunct in the management restructure. Mr Lewis will step down from the board and leave the group, the company has told shareholders in a statement to the stock exchange.

Mr Tutte, who was regional eastern chairman and has been a board director at the group since July 2002, will assume responsibility for management of each of the operating companies of Redrow.

Chairman Steve Morgan said: “We are pleased to be making this appointment today which gives clear management direction for Redrow.”
