McLaren meets with clients to discuss future of William Verry jobs

Directors of Essex-based McLaren Construction are meeting with clients of William Verry today to determine the future of its projects, after it rescued the London builder from administration.

One client told Construction News: “McLaren are hoping to pick up William Verry’s projects post administration, and we will make a decision on that once the talks have concluded later today.

“It’s great that they have responded quickly and we are hoping to find a way forward that will allow us to finish our project on time and on budget.”

All William Verry staff are understood to have received redundancy notices at the weekend, and subcontractors on its sites have ceased working.

A notice of administration is expected later today.
