Mouchel buys out Enterprise stake in joint venture

Mouchel has acquired infrastructure support services company Enterprise’s 50 percent shareholding in joint venture EnterpriseMouchel Ltd.

EnterpriseMouchel will continue to operate as a fully incorporated company. Mouchel said there will be “no change to contract teams and employees will continue to be employed by EnterpriseMouchel Ltd”.

It added: “The name and branding will remain unchanged but will be reviewed in due course and any changes will be communicated at that time. Over the next few months Enterprise and Mouchel will work together to ensure a smooth transition following the share ownership change.”

The move comes after Spanish infrastructure giant Ferrovial announced the £385m acquisition of environmental, property and utility services firm Enterprise.

Ferrovial operates in the UK through Amey. After the acquisition, the firm will have 21,000 employees and revenues in excess of £2.3bn.

Among EnterpriseMouchel’s big wins recently was a contract in November from Transport for London and London boroughs, which awarded EnterpriseMouchel one of four new area-based joint highways contracts, all of which which will be worth up to £1.2bn during the next eight years and will apply to all new TfL Road Network highway contracts from April 2013.
