Soletanche Bachy seals takeover of Roger Bullivant

Vinci geotechnical subsidiary Soletanche Bachy has sealed its multi-million pound takeover of piling and foundation contractor Roger Bullivant.

The deal had originally been slated for completion by July 11 after being revealed in June but the deal has now finally gone through, according to local newspaper the Burton Mail.

While its new owner also owns major rival Bachy Soletanche UK, sources close to the deal have previously told Construction News that job losses or downsizing at Roger Bullivant are unlikely as the firms operate in different sectors.

Roger Bullivant - based in Drakelow, Burton-on-Trent - is expected to continue operations under its own brand.

The firm also has seven regional offices across the UK in Normanton, Preston, Alloa, East Boldon, Dartford, Westbury and Port Talbot.
