British Land has confirmed the appointment of Simon Carter as its new chief financial officer.
Mr Carter joins the business from warehouse and logistics firm Logicor, where he also served as CFO.
He has a background in property having been the finance boss at Quintain Estates & Development prior to his role at Logicor.
Prior to this, he previously worked for British Land for 10 years in a variety of financial and strategic roles.
British Land previously announced in April last year that its previous CFO Lucinda Bell was to step down.
The developer revealed today that Ms Bell would leave the role now that a replacement has been found, with a transition team managing the end-of-year process ahead of Mr Carter taking the role.
At the CN Summit in November, British Land chief executive Chris Grigg warned against efforts to shift development away from London.
CN finds out why Sir Robert McAlpine is British Land’s sole contractor on the £1bn upgrade of London’s Broadgate Campus.
