Ex-Balfour Beatty BIM boss joins Capita

Balfour Beatty’s former BIM director has joined Capita Real Estate and Infrastructure as the company’s head of architecture.

Peter Trebilcock, who left Balfour Beatty at the end of last year after nine years with the firm, has joined Capita to head up its architectural team, including ESA Architects.

Mr Trebilcock will be tasked with securing new clients and building Capita’s reputation as one of the leading BIM and digital service specialists.

During his time at Balfour Beatty he spent more than three years as the contractor’s design and BIM programme director, leading the company’s BIM Centre of Excellence team.

Prior to that he spent more than 25 years in architectural practice designing projects across China, Germany and Kuwait, receiving two RIBA Awards for his work.

Mr Trebilcock said: “The depth and breadth of Capita’s expertise offers our architectural customers enormous benefits of knowledge and technology, which differentiates us from our competitors.

“This is a great time to be joining Capita, as the firm seeks to draw on the extensive knowledge gained in managing one in 20 commercial buildings in the UK.

“I look forward to helping Capita enhance its digital services, which go far beyond BIM and includes in-house data analytics and cyber specialists.”

Capita Real Estate and Infrastructure managing director Angus Duguid said: “Peter brings with him unparalleled experience in the industry.

”His wealth of expertise will undoubtedly be a huge asset as we look to expand our footprint and secure new clients into the future.”
