FK Group poaches William Hare finance boss

FK Group has poached steelwork firm William Hare’s financial director as it targets further growth.

The Altrincham-based building envelope specialist has recruited Phil Norris as its financial director to work alongside FK’s two managing directors, Paul Bentley and Steve Hall, and will report to the group’s CEO Francis Keenan.

Mr Norris, who started with FK at the beginning of July, spent more than a decade at steel specialist William Hare, including five years as financial director, where he was responsible for its UK, Middle East and Indian operations.

FK chief executive Francis Keenan said: “Appointing Phil is a significant move for us as we continue to grow.”

In its last full-year results, FK reported a 16 per cent jump in revenue to £82m

FK has also opened a London office in Shoreditch to house its newly created project team, as well as moving to larger office premises in Doncaster, Birmingham and Newport in the last 12 months.

It works with clients including Bowmer & Kirkland, Laing O’Rourke and McLaren across sectors including commercial, industrial and residential.

Major projects it has worked on in the last year include 2 St Peter’s Square in Manchester for Laing O’Rourke, and a major industrial development for McLaren near Manchester Airport.
