Former Sweett managing director Derek Pitcher joins WSP Parsons Brinckerhoff

Former Sweett Group Europe managing director Derek Pitcher has joined WSP Parsons Brinckerhoff as its global director for advisory services.

Mr Pitcher has experience in the real estate sector having worked on projects such as Westfield in London and Jaguar Land Rover’s global framework.

Internationally, he has worked in Europe and the US, where he was involved in attracting foreign direct investment into the UK real estate market.

In his new role, Mr Pitcher will support WSP PB’s programme management, project management and cost consultancy services.

WSP PB global director for property and buildings Tom Smith said: “In the global property and buildings space we have a growing global project advisory services business with over 1,200 staff supporting clients such as Amazon, CPPIB, ManuLife, HSBC, Airbus and BMW.

”Derek’s appointment is an exciting development, as it reflects our ambition to further develop our trusted adviser role. Derek will be working closely with the global executive leadership team to grow our expertise in this sector.”
