Taylor Wimpey appoints former Harrow Estates MD Jennie Daly as director

Taylor Wimpey has appointed former Harrow Estates managing director Jennie Daly as its new UK director of planning.

Ms Daly will work closely with the group’s UK director of land and planning Peter Andrew to assess and improve the company’s in-house planning skills.

The group said this will ensure the team is equipped for a change in its planning regime.

Ms Daly started her role on 12 May after 11 years with Harrow Estates, which is part of the Redrow Group.

Her responsibilities include planning, coaching and advice to Taylor Wimpey’s 24 regional business units, in addition to overseeing the appeals process.

Mr Andrew said: “We are delighted to have recruited a professional of Jennie’s calibre at this time of immense growth in the housebuilding sector.

“She will lead planning for the group, a vital function for our business at a crucial time in the UK [economic] recovery.”
