Keepmoat appoints new managing director

Keepmoat Homes has appointed Beth McNeil as its managing director for Scotland.

Ms McNeil has been promoted from operations director for the region after six months in the role, and becomes the first female regional MD in the business.

She replaces Peter Matthews, who took on the role in June but has now left the company to join Scottish housebuilder Springfield Properties.

Keepmoat’s Scottish business currently has eight sites in development. Next summer it will start the regeneration of Sighthill in Glasgow, which it claims is the largest regeneration scheme of its kind outside of London.

The £250m redevelopment of the estate will see 826 mixed-tenure homes built over the next 10 years.

Morgan Sindall is currently upgrading the infrastructure on the Sighthill estate ahead of Keepmoat’s works starting.

Keepmoat Homes chief executive James Thomson said he hoped Ms McNeil’s appointment would encourage other women to pursue careers in construction.
